Tulip Christmas Pearl

This single early variety is a soft shade of baby pink, with white and dark pink highlights. Flowers add a soft hint of colour to the garden from late April, and are very long lasting. Christmas Pearl grows to 40cm and its short, strong stems will manage exposed areas well. Great in a sunny spot, this variety is ideal for the border and can also be planted up in pots for the patio. We supply top size 11/12cm bulbs for best results, which you can plant 10-15cm deep in well drained, fertile soil.

Soil Type

Well drained garden soil

Plant bulbs in well dug soil about 8-10cm deep and approx 15cm apart. It is often beneficial to use a little bonemeal or super phosphate mixed in with the soil. Tulips delight during their growth in a sunny location.
After the tulips have bloomed and when leaves fade and turn brown the bulbs can be lifted, dried, cleaned and stored in a cool place until planting time. Tulips should not be grown in the same soil for several years, so replace with fresh soil every other year.
