Plant raspberry canes in fertile, well drained and well cultivated soil. Plant in a sunny location or in a partially shaded area. Plant bare root canes from November to March. Plant firmly 35-45cm apart with 120-180cm between rows, and provide support in the form of a stake when needed.
Mulch with well rotted compost or manure which will also help keep control of any wayward weeds. After planting cut back to between 15-25cm above soil level. It is important you make sure they are kept well watered and the soil is kept weed free.
