Magnolia Yellow Lantern

Magnolia 'Yellow Lantern' is a beautiful evergreen shrub that produces large and showy lemon-yellow flowers that have a wonderful scent throughout mid spring. This medium sized shrub will grow to heights of 4-8 metres and a width of 2.5-4 metres, depending on where it's planted and how it's maintained. Grow in your front gardens or somewhere with plenty of space for an exciting display all year round.

Magnolias will perform best in moist and well-drained soil which has plenty of organic matter. Add some into the hole before planting. Avoid planting in early spring or late winter, as Magnolias are incredibly sensitive to the cold and it will damage your plant before it's even had the chance to grow. Grow in areas that reach plenty of sunlight. Dig a hole thats bigger and deeper than the container it comes in by a few centimetres. Give a water when finished and ensure you water through warmer months. Add mulch when finished to help retain moisture.
