Just like the name suggests, Iris King of the Blues produces deep velvety blue blooms, each boasting gorgeous white and yellow markings on each petal. This hardy perennial is a must-have for your display as it withstands the unpredictable highs and lows of the British weather! Flowering from May to June and reaches heights of 50-60cm. 7/8cm bulbs supplied.

Well drained, neutral or slightly alkaline soil

Bulbs are to be planted 8cm deep and about 10-12cm apart, in well drained soil. It is often best to try to position then with plenty of access to sun. For best results, plant in September through to November.
Take some care to prevent slugs and snails from attacking the iris once planted. Most Dutch iris are only suitable for planting in the garden or in a cool greenhouse or a cold frame.
