Soil Type

Well drained, neutral or slightly alkaline soil

Bulbs are to be planted 8cm deep and about 10-12cm apart, in well drained soil. It is often best to try to position then with plenty of access to sun. For best results, plant in September through to November.
Take some care to prevent slugs and snails from attacking the iris once planted. Most iris are only suitable for planting in the garden or in a cool greenhouse or a cold frame.
