Ismene Festalis

Known as the Peruvian daffodil, the Ismene is a valuable addition to your summer garden, as it will produce some elegant pure white flowers with curved petals. It is a low maintenance perennial that is also slightly fragrant. Each stem will usually produce 2-5 flowers. 14/16cm bulbs supplied.

Planting

Plant at 10cm deep.

Soil Type

Fertile, well drained, moist soil

Plant in a cool greenhouse or outdoors but only in a sheltered location. If starting in pots, use a light compost and water freely during the growing season. If planting outdoors, plant each bulb at approx 10cm deep and at least 30cm apart, in fertile, well drained soil.
After planting you can begin to water regularly and growth should begin to appear within a number of weeks. In late autumn, you can lift bulbs and dry them off, then store over the winter in a cold area for next year.
