Soil Type

Well drained, light and fertile soil

Can be planted in Autumn at approx 8-10cm deep, preferably in well drained, light soil. They are best suited to sunny locations or areas with light shade, and can be planted in groups so they can naturalise.
They have become increasingly popular as they will naturalise if left undisturbed. However if you do need to divide and move them it is best to do so between the months of June-September. Each bulb often produces up to 30 of the most beautiful flowers.
